Natural Bridal Trials
A trial is, by far, the best way to really feel confident in your chosen make up look and your chosen make up artist for your wedding day.
Where does a trial take place?
The trial usually takes place in my home studio in Torbay on the North Shore in Auckland. I can also arrange to visit you at your location. (This may include a travel fee)
HOW LONG DOES A TRIAL TAKE?
Please allow 1.5 hours for makeup, 2-2.5 hours including hair if requested.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE CONSULTATION?
Please bring along your selected images and ideas of your ideal makeup looks. Please also bring along your own skincare if you have skin sensitivities. We will have a professional and honest conversation about what looks will be the most flattering and feature enhancing for you. You will receive a prep sheet with tips on getting your skin in the best condition pre-wedding day. We can create up to two makeup looks for you at the trial.
Can I bring my bridesmaid, mother or friend to the trial?
Anyone having their makeup applied on the wedding day can also request a trial. They may arrange to come with you to your appointment or at another time/day. You are also welcome to just bring someone along for support and reassurance.
Do I have to have a trial and when should I have one?
It is highly recommended that you arrange a trial for your bridal make up, however, it is not at all compulsory. I also would advise you to book your trial in the same season as your wedding, whether it is in the 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding date or, the year prior. This way you are likely to have the same skin tones and texture that you will have on your wedding day. Alternatively, you may book a trial at your convenience.
What if I change my mind regards my chosen make up look before my wedding day?
You are very welcome to arrange another trial to put your mind at ease with a new look, however we can discuss over the phone also and adapt the make up look on the day, no problem at all.
How do I pay for my trial?
Please pay a 50% deposit for your trial date, balance required before trial date. *Further payment information will be provided to you via your enquiry.
What areas do you service?
In New Zealand I service most Auckland areas including the North Shore, West Auckland, Auckland City, Waiheke and other near by Islands, Rodney District - Warkworth, Snells Beach, Algies Bay, Leigh, Kawau Island, Matakana and Omaha.
Will you fly to my region?
Yes, by prior arrangement. Travel to cities outside of Auckland are subject to my availability and flights. There will be a travel, time and cost of flights additional.
How do I book to secure my wedding date?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 5 days before the wedding date. *Further payment information will be provided to you via your enquiry. Due to popular demand, dates cannot be held open until the deposit is received.
Can I add more people for Hair or Make Up after I have secured the booking?
Yes additional hair and/or make up services can be added if time allows - please enquire. Please note however that services may not be removed once booking is made.
Cancellations + changes to bookings
A 3 day cooling-off period applies from the date your deposit is received. If you choose to cancel your booking a refund of your deposit will be given, less a 30% administration fee. Cancellation request must be made via the phone and/or in writing via email. If you choose to cancel your booking after the 3 day cooling-off period the deposit is non-refundable.
Care & Professional environment
Hygiene is absolutely paramount in this business and I can assure you that I take the utmost care with cleaning my tools and products. Skin sensitivity concerns must be discussed at the trial and I am more than happy to work with your own skin care range on the day. *Provided it will not affect the outcome of your make up service.
In the rare event unforeseen circumstances arise (due to sudden illness, emergency, broken down car delays, accidents etc) I have in place highly regarded Make Up Artists that you can contact and you will be given a FULL refund.
